Title:  "SPIRITUAL EUTHANASIA"

Subtitle: When a church converts to the "Purpose Driven" church movement, their leaders become determined to drive out members who question the wisdom of this movement. Sometimes, this forced "euthanizing" of long-term saints of the Lord can get quite brutal -- most definitely not "Christ-like".

Breaking News: Rick Warren has teamed with a New Age mystic to aid him in his training program at his Saddleback Church.

YOU ARE NOW ON
THE CUTTING EDGE

"The truth of many a matter is found in exactly the opposite direction of the public rhetoric".

Cutting Edge has been preaching this reality since November, 2001, when we first realized the incredible propaganda campaign which had abruptly sprung forth from the attacks of 9/11. We wrote an article on this subject (NEWS1558), based solely on the concept of political propaganda. However, since posting this article, we have come to realize that the most incredible deception occurring in this country -- and throughout the world today -- is spiritual deception.

This spiritual deception has taken many forms during this End of the Age, including the promotion of Roman Catholicism as a genuine Christian Church, promoting the Reverend Sun Myung Moon as a legitimate spiritual leader (a Messiah figure to many), and in the Rick Warren "Purpose Driven Church".

One of the key points of emphasis in this "Purpose Driven Church" is its "Seeker Sensitive" nature. In other words, such a point is laid upon "fulfilling people's needs" that people from all walks of life are flocking to this type of church. Tens of thousands of traditional church denominations are switching over to this program, because it draws people into their churches in droves!

And, why wouldn't it attract people like this? Claiming to be Christian, and written in Christian language, the "Purpose Driven" movement leads people to believe they have received Jesus Christ and are going to Heaven, by saying a prayer which leaves out the notion of inherent individual sin, repentance of that sin, and the blood atonement of Jesus which paid the full penalty of that sin.

This prayer of salvation leads the person to pray: "Jesus I believe in you and I receive you". ("Purpose Driven Life", p. 58)

I personally attended a Purpose Driven Church in Charleston, South Carolina, and heard a "salvation" presentation which made no mention of personal sin or repentance of sin whatsoever! Nor was the blood of Jesus as atonement for sin mentioned.

Not only is this prayer NOT a genuine prayer for salvation, but it does represent "another Gospel". The Apostle Paul preaches a great and solemn warning against anyone teaching "another Gospel" (Galatians 1:6-9). Paul declares that anyone preaching this counterfeit gospel is to be "accursed"! The word Paul used in this passage is Strong's #331, which literally means:

* "without hope of being redeemed" —Strong's Greek & Hebrew Dictionary

* "a person or thing doomed to destruction" —Strong's Greek & Hebrew Dictionary

* "a man accursed, devoted to the direst of woes" —Strong's Greek & Hebrew Dictionary

People by the tens of millions are buying into this "other gospel", believing they are saved and going to Heaven! When these people stand in front of the White Throne Judgment, they will realize, too late, they have been duped and are about to be case into the eternal Lake of Fire.

The sad fact that renders this "prayer of salvation" useless is that it does not force a person to confront their inherent sinful nature, does not require them to commit to true repentance (which means turning your life 180 degrees around), and does not require the penitent to wholly trust on Jesus' blood sacrifice on the cross. Without these elements being properly addressed and accepted by the sinner, no salvation is possible.

Therefore, under the guise of "meeting people's needs", and "equipping the saints, assisting the downtrodden and disenfranchised", this Purpose Driven Church movement is actually denying its followers the one great need of every person who has ever lived -- personal eternal salvation! Knowing that you are saved, on your way to heaven, and will never have to face your sins in eternity, is the knowledge that produces such deeply felt joy in the heart of the truly saved.

DRIVING PEOPLE OUT - "SPIRITUAL EUTHANASIA"

But, there is more horror to this story. Not only does this movement deny a person eternity in heaven (their greatest single "need"), but these leaders forcefully drives dissenters out of a church which is in the process of converting to the "Purpose Driven" program. Instead of listening to these "resistors", and considering their viewpoint, church leaders are driving these people out, even though many of them have been faithful church contributors for decades.

Let us review some of specific instances where dissenting church members were "spiritually euthanized" - right out of church! This information is taken from an email from James Sundquist to this Director on April 26, 2005. Sundquist is the author of our best-selling book, "Who Is Driving The Purpose Driven Church".

A few days ago, I was a guest on VYC America's Crosstalk discussing my book "Who's Driving the Purpose Driven Church?" in which callers all over the country were calling in who had been ousted or marginalized in their church for questioning or opposing Purpose Driven Life book and campaign. One senior saint from Texas called in and was very upset about a recent Baptist Standard newsletter in which an opponent of Rick Warren was severely maligned. It was indeed very representative of the thousands of calls or emails that VCY America had gotten when Warren Smith was a guest regarding his book Deceived On Purpose. I have been researching Rick Warren's teachings for several thousand hours and several years. So, in this regard, I invite you to consider and be apprised of the following updates on the fruit of Rick Warren's teachings and how he has trained pastors and churches to deal with what he calls "resisters"....most of the media and even Christian media gives Rick Warren a free pass on his teachings.

Rick Warren actually spells out how to get rid of "resisters" to his Purpose Driven program! Rather than treating dissent with love and respect, Warren simply advocates that a church converting to his program drive them out. Listed below are some of the specific fruits James Sundquist has uncovered that are flowing from this draconian plan.

"Just received a letter from Carol in Canada regarding a Christian & Missionary Alliance Church in which they just ousted 65 members for opposing Rick Warren programming and his 'New Reformation'. Apparently the pastor said anyone over 65 was not welcome.

This situation is getting so serious, James Sundquist has created a poem based on Rev. Martin Neimoeller's Poem written in 1945, trying to explain why so few German citizens spoke up to protest Adolf Hitler's genocide, which many of them knew, in their heart, was occurring. Let us begin with Neimoller's poem.

"In Germany, the Nazis first came for the Communists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew.
Then they came for the trade unionists, but I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Catholics, but I didn't speak up because I was a Protestant.
Then they came for me, and by that time there was no one left to speak for me."

(Rev. Martin Neimoeller, German Lutheran Pastor. Rev. Neimoeller was arrested by the Gestapo for opposing Hitler and was sent to Dachau in 1938. He was freed by Allied forces in 1945.)

Now, listen to Sundquist's adaptation of this poem to apply to this "Spiritual Euthanasia" effort by the Purpose Driven Church Movement.

"First they came for 'resisters' and 'pillars' of Brunswick Reformed Church, Brunswick, Ohio because they opposed Purpose Driven Life and Church, but I didn't speak up because I was not a member of Reformed Church of American (RCA) denomination."

(NOTE: Mac Dominick, Cutting Edge, and author of the new book, "Outcome-Based Religion: Apostasy, Purpose, and the Paradigm Shift", and the DVD and VHS by the same name, stated this Rick Warren definition of a "pillar" of the church. Rather that defining 'pillar' as a dependable, steady leader of the church, Rick Warren has turned the definition on its proverbial head; he defines 'pillar' as "someone who holds things up".

"Then they came after a lady who was an elder lady in the faith who had been with the First Baptist Church of Dallas, Texas since 1956 by shouting her down with spiritual euthanasia and aggressive mean-spirited behavior, and the intimidation of seven attorneys, because she opposed them turning their landmark Criswell Center into a Purpose Driven entertainment center. But I did not speak up because I was not a widow."

"Then they held a trial for two families at Valley Baptist Church in Lakeland, Minnesota, but I didn't speak up because I was not a member of the General Baptist Convention."

"Then they came after 165 members of Gardendale Baptist Church, Corpus Christi, Texas and ran them out of the church, but I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Southern Baptist."

"Then a brother did finally speak up and tried to warn Eugene Christian Fellowship because they had gone Purpose Driven, but they threatened legal action and told him to stop spamming them. But I did not speak up for fear of being accused of spamming or being sued by a church."

"Then a news reporter for a large Christian radio network sounded the alarm on His Holy Hill of this clear and present danger. They ran the story, but received more gnashing of teeth from callers then they had ever had, so they censored this story from their Agape Press print media news service."

"Then still another brother on another Christian radio ministry broadcast testimonies of Christians thrown out of their churches across the country, but the network threatened to remove his show from the air, if another broadcast was ever made that said anything bad about Rick Warren. But I did not speak up because I had friends and family who were either employed by an organization that promoted Purpose Driven Church, or were in Purpose Driven Church, and I did not want to lose those relationships."

"Then they came after a large group of members at New Hope Church in Bend, Oregon. But I didn't speak up because I wasn't a member of The Evangelical Church denomination or the National Association of Evangelicals."

"Then they came after a carpenter and his wife at Calvary Community Church in Phoenix, Arizona with the police and a sheriff and escorted him out of the church and off of the grounds for trying to expose the deeds of darkness and the teachings of Rick Warren, telling him that if he returned, he would be arrested. But I didn't speak up because I wasn't a member of the Calvary Chapel denomination."

"Then they came for me, and by that time there was no one left to speak up for me, because every church in the nation had become Purpose Driven and part of his Global PEACE Plan."

These aggressive tactics are not spiritual good fruit, nor is there any Biblical foundation for it. The Bible does say "Come out of her, My people" and "Be Ye separate", but these admonitions are to individuals who find themselves suddenly in the midst of apostate, false churches, telling them to leave those churches; they are not meant to be a pattern for churches to drive out members who disagree with the new Purpose Driven program.

Thus is the Purpose Driven Movement committing "Spiritual Euthanasia" to members of churches going into this nefarious system, another "Bad Spiritual Fruit" coming from this entire movement. But, the Bible prophecy forewarned us to expect spiritual apostasy (deviation from Biblical doctrine) at the End of the Age. Listen:

"Let no one deceive or beguile you in any way, for that day will not come except the apostasy comes first, unless the predicted great falling away of those who have professed to be Christians has come, and the man of lawlessness (sin) is revealed, who is the son of doom of perdition ..." (2 Thessalonians 2:3; Parallel Bible, KJV/Amplified Bible Commentary)

Literally, this passage means that every false, apostate christian leader is opening the door to the appearance of Antichrist. Without this kind of apostasy, Antichrist could not come to the world scene. While the Christian Church has seen a great deal of apostasy from many quarters, nothing has caught fire so greatly than this Purpose Driven Church.

BREAKING NEWS!!

As we were preparing to post this article, a subscriber sent us breaking news that reveals even more unscriptural, unbiblical, evil spiritual fruit emanating from the Purpose Driven Movement. Rick Warren is teaming up with a New Age guru and contemplative promoter, Ken Blanchard! Listen:

NEWS BRIEF: "Rick Warren Teams Up With New-Age Guru Ken Blanchard! Special Report, Lighthouse Trails Research Project, April 19, 2005

"Apr 19, 2005 While Rick Warren is gearing up to train a billion people, unbeknownst to many he has also been teamed up with New Age and contemplative promoter, Ken Blanchard, for some time now. According to a new biography on Rick Warren, A Life With Purpose written by George Maier, Rick Warren has solicited the services of Ken Blanchard to aid him in training leaders: "Rick taps the best and most famous to help train church leaders to be like Jesus. He has hired Ken Blanchard .... to come to Saddleback to help train people how to be effective leaders." [p. 193]

"In light of knowing who Ken Blanchard is, this is shocking and devastating news for the church!

There is countless evidence to show that Blanchard sits on the New Age/mystical/contemplative bandwagon. Blanchard believes in the benefits and use of mantra meditation, yoga and has no trouble borrowing from Buddhism.

"Here are just a few examples of Blanchard's devotion to mystical spirituality:

1. Wrote the foreword to Jim Ballard's "Mind Like Water"
2. Wrote the foreword to Jim Ballard's "What Would Buddha Do At Work?"
3. Is on the Front Cover of "Corporate Mystic"
4. Is on the Back Cover of Dee pak Chopra's "7 Spiritual Laws of Success"
5. Jim Ballard, a staunch New Ager, and a colleague of "The Ken Blanchard Companies"
6. Wrote the Foreword to Ellen Laded's (clairvoyant) book, "Death and Letting Go"

This is seriously important New Age company! Furthermore, cooperating with the likes of Dee pak Chopra and Ellen Laded places Ken Blanchard in the midst of the spiritual mediums which dominate the New Age Religion. Warren Smith warned repeatedly of the New Age underpinnings of Rick Warren's movement in his book, "Deceived On Purpose: The New Age Implications of the Purpose-Driven Church".

Cutting Edge's Mac Dominick takes this New Age foundation even further in his just released new book, "Outcome-Based Religion: Apostasy, Purpose, and the Paradigm Shift", and the DVD and VHS by the same name.

This Lighthouse Trails article just confirms with this recent development the truth spoken of in these two books, above. Let us go back briefly to this revelation from Lighthouse Trails.

"Blanchard makes no apology when he says much can be gained from Buddhism. He and his wife both encourage the practice of yoga (p.11) and mantra meditation. Ken Blanchard, Rick Warren, and Bill Hybels (Willow Creek) have become team players at the Lead Like Jesus conferences, which take place across North America. The three also have an audio set they co-authored together.

Did Rick Warren know of Blanchard's sympathies when he brought him in to help at Saddleback? Of course he did. And do you think that Rick Warren and Ken Blanchard are going to train their "billion" soldiers for Christ how to practice New Age mysticism and learn how to go into altered states of consciousness? You bet. And that is definitely something to be concerned about.

Truly did Jesus speak of this Purpose Driven Church Movement when He said:

"And to the angel (messenger) of the assembly (church) in Laodicea write ... I know your [record of] works and what you are doing; you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were cold or hot! So, because you are lukewarm and neither cold nor hot, I will spew you out of My mouth! For you say, I am rich; I have prospered and grown wealthy, and I am in need of nothing; and you do not realize and understand that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked." (Revelation 3:14-17; Parallel Bible, KJV/Amplified Bible Commentary)

"But to the rest of you .... who do not hold this teaching, who have not explored and known the depths of Satan, as they say-- I tell you that I do not lay upon you any other fresh burden." (Revelation 3:24; Parallel Bible, KJV/Amplified Bible Commentary)

Amidst all the setting of the prophetical stage for prophecies in the political and economic areas, and amidst the ecumenical gathering of all the world's religions into One, this Purpose Driven phenomenon is in a class by itself. It is so huge, so encompassing, that it is deceiving most of those Christian leaders and their churches who had escaped the previous spiritual deception.

Truly, the End of the Age is upon us!

Are you spiritually ready? Is your family? Are you adequately protecting your loved ones? This is the reason for this ministry, to enable you to first understand the peril facing you, and then help you develop strategies to warn and protect your loved ones. Once you have been thoroughly trained, you can also use your knowledge as a means to open the door of discussion with an unsaved person. I have been able to use it many times, and have seen people come to Jesus Christ as a result. These perilous times are also a time when we can reach many souls for Jesus Christ, making an eternal difference.

If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, but have been very lukewarm in your spiritual walk with Him, you need to immediately ask Him for forgiveness and for renewal. He will instantly forgive you, and fill your heart with the joy of the Holy Spirit. Then, you need to begin a daily walk of prayer and personal Bible Study.

If you have never accepted Jesus Christ as Savior, but have come to realize His reality and the approaching End of the Age, and want to accept His FREE Gift of Eternal Life, you can also do so now, in the privacy of your home. Once you accept Him as Savior, you are spiritually Born Again, and are as assured of Heaven as if you were already there. Then, you can rest assured that the Kingdom of Antichrist will not touch you spiritually.

If you would like to become Born Again, turn to our Salvation Page now.

We hope you have been blessed by this ministry, which seeks to educate and warn people, so that they can see the coming New World Order -- Kingdom of Antichrist -- in their daily news.

Finally, we would love to hear from you.

You can contact us by mail or email.

God bless you.
